Robison Jewish Health Center at Cedar Sinai Park

Special and Extended Care

More than 86 years of caring for the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of the elder Jewish and general community members have earned Robison Jewish Health Center a well deserved reputation for excellence. At Robison, you'll find a full range of support services, including skilled nursing, physical rehabilitation to assist in your recovery from an injury or surgery, and memory support services. More important, you'll find this care delivered with kindness, respect and understanding by a supportive, professional staff of caregivers.

Skilled Rehabilitation and Nursing Services

Robison's skilled care unit provides support for those recovering from surgery, strokes, accidents and other major health traumas. Rehabilitative physical, occupational and speech therapies are available to enhance the quality of residents' lives. Whenever possible, our rehabilitation team can work with residents and their families to provide a needs assessment or arrange for care to assure a successful transition home.

Intermediate Nursing Care

Intermediate care is designed to serve residents who require long term medical support. Nursing assistance is available to those who need help managing their medications, and with the basic activities of day to day living. With over seventy activities a week, our staff provides a variety of individualized and group programs to enhance the residents' quality of life.

Enhanced Memory Support Suite

For those struggling with memory loss, Miriam Suite provides residents with caring and structured communal living using the Best Friends Approach. A schedule of familiar activities brings a comfortable continuity to each day, while a specially trained staff of caregivers provides residents with consistent attention.

The Miriam Suite at the Robison Jewish Health Center is designed to accommodate the special needs of Residents who: experience memory loss, have impaired judgment, may wander, and could benefit from a more secure environment.

The Suite is a place where staff and families unite to support memory-impaired residents. Together we support residents' struggles to remain in control of their lives with dignity and respect. Although we know that residents of Miriam Suite will predictably become more frail, we continue to affirm their lives offering, gentleness and appropriate professional care.

Palliative Care

At Cedar Sinai Park we are called upon to provide quality care to residents who face end of life. We recognize that this service involves intensive levels of medical, social and spiritual support. When facing end of life issues we also place the residents family at the center of our concern. Rather than expecting a cure we partner to manage pain and discomfort and allow the family to have the emotional space in which to say farewell. This treatment philosophy involves palliative care.

Palliative care seeks to prevent, relieve, reduce or soothe the symptoms of disease or disorder without expecting a cure. It attends closely to the emotional, spiritual, and practical needs and goals of residents and those close to them.

While we take pride in Cedar Sinai Park’s capacity to be a wonderful place to live, we also take pride in providing the highest quality of care as residents face the end of life.

Mission Statement

To provide residential and community based care to our elders and infirm with services that allow them to live with comfort, independence and dignity in a manner and in an environment based on Jewish values.
